🏛️ What Is A FSC🏛️

The Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) is required by the State of California Department of Justice (DOJ) for anyone who wishes to purchase, receive, or transfer a firearm in California.

This certification ensures that all firearm owners understand the basic laws, handling, and storage principles necessary for responsible gun ownership.

🎯 Our Program

Our FSC testing program is conducted by a DOJ-Certified Instructor and is open to the public by appointment or walk-in (when available).
We make the process simple, secure, and compliant.

Program Includes:

  • 30-question multiple-choice test (must score 75% or higher)

  • Review of firearm safety fundamentals and California gun laws

  • Immediate FSC card issuance upon passing

  • Five-year validity for your certificate

🕒 Duration

  • Test and review take approximately 30–45 minutes.

  • Results are available immediately after completion.

💰 Cost

  • $25 total, set by the California DOJ.​

(Cash, Zelle, Venmo, or card payments accepted.)

🪪 What to Bring

  • A valid California Driver’s License or ID Card

  • Payment for the test

  • Optional: Glasses if you need them for reading

🧾 Exemptions

You may be exempt from the FSC requirement if you are:

  • An active or honorably retired law enforcement officer

  • An active, reserve, or honorably discharged member of the U.S. Armed Forces

  • A licensed hunter with a valid hunting license (for long guns only)

  • A current CCW permit holder
